Reading Book Clubs

Kindergarten Library

Kindergarten is all about discovering the joy of books and learning to love the library! During library visits, students explore a variety of stories, authors, and topics while learning how to choose and care for books.

Kindergarten students check out library books each week, and these books remain in the classroom so students can enjoy and share them throughout the week.

We also offer an optional Kindergarten Book Take-Home Program for families who would like their child to bring additional library books home. If you would like your child to participate, please contact your child’s teacher or Mrs. Wilson in the library.

 

Reading Book Clubs

Reading Clubs are a favorite part of the Llano Elementary Library! They encourage students to read more, try new kinds of books, discover favorite authors and genres, and challenge themselves as readers.

1st–2nd Grade

Our younger readers can participate in a variety of Reading Clubs designed to build reading confidence, encourage regular reading, and help students discover books they love.

Students work toward completing reading challenges and are recognized and rewarded as they reach their goals.

 

3rd–5th Grade

Students can choose from a variety of Reading Clubs featuring different genres, authors, subjects, series, and special reading challenges.

After finishing each book, students share a short retelling or summary with a teacher or librarian. Students may complete multiple clubs throughout the year and earn recognition and prizes along the way.

The goal is simple: read more, explore more, and have fun discovering great books!
